Rachelle wins a luxury holiday to France

Congrats to Rachelle Guiry who has just won the best dressed wearing a Carol Kennelly Millinery headpiece at the Darley Irish Oaks at the Curragh Today!!Also in the final five wearing a Carol Kennelly Millinery headpiece was Caroline Madden (on extreme left in the photo below), Well done Rachelle and Caroline you both look Amazing.

The 2014 Darley Irish Oaks which took place at The Curragh Racecourse on Saturday the 19th of July saw Europe’s top fillies compete for classic glory. ‘Bracelet’ trained by Aidan O’Brien and ridden by Colm O’Donoghue was triumphant and won The Darley Irish Oaks. Saturday was also The O’Briens Wines Best Dressed Lady Competition in association with Stella & Dot and was won by Co. Limerick woman Rachelle Guiry.

Rachelle won a fantastic trip for two to France, courtesy of O’Briens Wines, including flights, one night’s accommodation and breakfast at Château l’Hospitalet, Narbonne. The prize also included a vineyard tour, winery tour, private tasting and a €500 voucher from jewellery and accessories online store, Stella & Dot.

The fashion judges included Bairbre Power of The Irish Independent, Lynn Coyle of O’Briens Wine, Helen Gray and Vivienne Guilmartin both of Stella & Dot. The judges were impressed with Rachelle’s ensemble which included a dress Asos, shoes by Ted Baker, hat by Carol Kennelly and a bag from Lulu Guinness.

Speaking of her win, Rachelle said, “I really can’t believe I won and am really thrilled. I was inspired originally by the colour of my Lulu Guinness hand bag and was looking for a dress that had a sort of Marilyn Monroe ‘look’. I bought the dress from Asos and then added the lace detail on the sleeves and the underskirt myself.”
